Mr. Svendsen has more than twelve years of legal and technical experience related to all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including advising clients regarding the potential of granting patents on inventions and providing legal advice related to infringement matters. He is a registered patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Svendsen’s skill in preparing, filing and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. Patent Office, along with his knowledge in providing written patentability opinions, is remarkable and well-proven. Mr. Svendsen has strong written and oral communication skills. He is able to work with both internal and external experts in the U.S. and international settings to bring about a desired outcome. Along with in-depth creativity and familiarity with the concepts, practices, and procedures of patent law, Mr. Svendsen has the intellectual capacity to rapidly cope with leading edge chemical, mechanical, software and computer related technologies.

Education:
Mr. Svendsen attended the University of Washington, and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He was admitted to practice before the USPTO in 1996. He sat for the Washington State Bar Exam in February 2003, and was admitted in the spring of 2003.
